Brian Lynch is responsible for initiatives that bring the Society's strategic vision and business operations to its information technology infrastructure. Lynch began this assignment in 2006, and rolled the Aptify membership management platform in April 2007. Since joining the headquarters staff in 1991, Lynch has served in a variety of roles, including public relations director, overseeing external public relations, internal communications and publishing for the 31,000-member Society. Notable among those efforts is the production of three television specials for public television, a complete makeover of The Harmonizer magazine, establishment and growth of the Society's web presence, co-author (with Everett Nau) of "Singing is Life," the Society’s award-winning recruiting video, and editor of The Harmonizer, the bi-monthly magazine of the Barbershop Harmony Society. He is active in teaching public relations, marketing and membership classes at Society schools. A bass singer, he has performed in the Milwaukee Chapter's Festival City Chorus. His quartet credits include Starlight, The Goodfellas and The Muckety-Mucks, which won the first Buckeye Invitational Comedy Quartet Contest. Most recently, he is proud to have performed in the River City School Board quartet for twenty performances of The Music Man at the Racine Theatre Guild. Prior to joining the staff, Lynch had a varied career in communications, as a speech writer in the state Senate, and in radio as a disk jockey, newsman, copywriter and airborne traffic reporter. He is currently a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Society of Non-Profit Association Publications (SNAP). Lynch and his wife, Laura, reside in Kenosha, Wis., and are blessed beyond measure with two adorable, clever and polite children who love singing with daddy.
