Instructions for Riser Configuration Documents

To insert proper names into section part circles, place the text cursor next to the last letter and left-click to make the text active, then backspace the text out and enter the proper name. Text will wrap to the second line if needed.

To move the ‘circles’ around to the correct riser placement there are several options. 1. Use the “Selection Object tool” which, depending on the version of Word used, is found under View/Toolbars/Drawing…then select the “pointer” at the bottom of the page. This will allow clicking anywhere on the circle and dragging to the appropriate location on the riser chart. 2. If not using this tool, simply move the cursor to the outer edge of the selected circle until you see the arrows, , then left-click and drag.
TIP - The arrow keys on the keyboard can also be used to move a selected circle (HINT…holding down the Ctrl key while using the arrow keys allows for nudging in very small increments).
To create additional circles, move the cursor to the outer edge until the arrows are visible then left-click to highlight. Hold down Ctrl+C to copy, or go under Edit to Copy, then click elsewhere on the document and press Ctrl+V to paste…or again, you can paste from the Edit pulldown menu. You can paste multiple times without recopying by clicking on the document after each paste then Ctrl+V again.

To change chorus name, click near the title to activate the text block then place your cursor and left click which will allow you to back out the name and re-enter the correct title. Most important…for any “oops” that may occur, remember Ctrl+Z to undo! Enjoy!
