Roger Lewis—Professional Bio
Roger J. Lewis of Battle Creek, Mich., serves as interim chief executive officer of the 30,000-member Barbershop Harmony Society.Lewis previously served the Society in many volunteer capacities, most recently as international president.
Lewis retired in 1996 as partner and executive vice-president of EmploymentGroup, an independent temporary employment company in southwest Michigan. He has been a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for 44 years and is a founding member of the Society’s Harmony Foundation President’s Council.
He is a competition judge in the Presentation category and has served on the faculty of various Society education programs and coached quartets and choruses. He sings baritone in Antiques Roadshow quartet and lead in Harmony Hounds, a quartet of which he has been a member almost continuously for 40 years. He currently belongs to the Battle Creek, Mich., chapter in the Society’s Pioneer District.
