Barbershop Harmony Society Hires New Web Developer
Gena Dickey joined the headquarters staff as web developer in September of 2008 giving her a chance to blend her love of design with her noble desire to work in the non-profit sector making a difference in the lives of others along the way. Her passion for all-things-web began at the CNN Headquarters in Atlanta. During this internship, she worked with the online media department to revamp CNN.com. After graduating from Rice University, she accepted positions as television news producer/web administrator for the 5pm and morning programs at ABC and NBC affiliates, respectively. Liking web design yet tiring of each newscast’s devastating content, she decided to strike out on her own. With years in the web design industry, her company, The I.T. Factor Web Design excels at swift, quality, and creative web design working with clients throughout the Southeast, from churches to small businesses to singer/songwriters promoting their music in Nashville. She looks forward to contributing her time and talents to an organization committed to enriching lives through singing.
